The ethical principles of scientific publishing are designed to ensure the integrity of scientific knowledge and protect the intellectual property rights of others. (APA, 2010)

The scientific-theoretical collection of the World of Culture of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts is governed by high standards in publishing ethics. It is guided by the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Copyright and related rights.

All studies submitted for the Journal are evaluated by the Editorial Board of the Journal for compliance with the standards mentioned below. Only the articles of the authors who comply with the ethical principles are sent to the committee for the next stage of evaluation.

Based on this, authors who send articles to the World of Culture journal should pay attention to the following rules:

  • Original articles that have not been published in any journal (domestic and foreign) should be sent to the journal.
  • An article submitted to a journal cannot be submitted to another journal for evaluation at the same time
  • If the author refuses to publish the article for any reason, he has the right to refuse before the evaluation process begins, and he must notify the journal’s e-mail address.
  • Rejections are not accepted for articles that have been evaluated by an expert and are already in the printing stage
  • If necessary, the editorial office of the journal may request additional documents for publication of the article
  • After the evaluation process author cannot make interventions such as additional information and new author.
  • The author is directly responsible for plagiarism, forgery, misrepresentation, reprinting, unfair authorship and other ethical violations from the moment he submits an article to the journal.

Note:

  • All articles that do not comply with the accepted ethical standards and do not meet the academic criteria are removed from the process, removed from the publication, and the author is informed about it from the moment the violation is discovered.
  • All authors who have submitted an article to the journal are considered to have accepted the above conditions.
  • The author is responsible for any problems that may arise in the publication process related to the issues listed above.

*In the writing and publishing process, it is considered important that all interested parties follow the rules related to ethical principles.

In this direction, the responsibility of the Editorial Board of the World of Culture journal  is as follows:

  • It regularly posts announcements on the journal’s official website https://medeniyyetdunyasi.az/ about the process of accepting articles and in this regard
  • Delivery of on-the-spot, objective, unbiased information to all questions and appeals addressed by the authors in the direction of publication of articles in the journal
  • To first check the submitted articles in terms of form, and organize the return of articles that do not comply with the principles of publication and writing to the author for necessary corrections without reviewing the content.
  • In the evaluation process, to create conditions for timely delivery of the article to the expert commissions in the fields
  • To make it possible for the opinions of the expert commissions in the fields to be delivered to the author accurately, without informing the author of the reviewer’s identity, by e-mail,
  • Communicating the author’s request for detailed information about the review to the reviewer, if necessary
  • Taking into account the opinions, suggestions and comments of researchers, readers, etc
  • Not providing information about the authors to the members of the editorial commissions for the fields
  • Encourages field editorial committees to evaluate articles in an unbiased, scientific and objective language
  • When the answers from the members of the editorial commissions are delayed, they are informed about it and promptness is requested.
  • Communicate the final decisions regarding the acceptance or not of the article to the authors in an expressive and clear way by e-mail

In this direction, the responsibility of the expert commissions of the World of Culture journal is as follows:

– They can use the article they evaluated only after publication and only for scientific purposes

– When they discover a violation of scientific and ethical principles in the article they are reviewing, they inform the editor.

– They pay attention to the comprehensibility and clarity of the comments submitted to the articles

– If the submitted article does not match their qualifications, they promptly inform the editorial staff about it.

In this direction, the responsibility of the relevant institution of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts dealing with the journal is as follows:

  • Ensures archiving of electronic and printed versions of published journals
  • Ensures that each issue of the journal is sent to the relevant institutions
  • As soon as the article enters the editorial office, it checks whether it is plagiarized or not and provides a reference
  • Ensures that each article is crossrefed and doi provided
  • Provides internet access to each of the journals (on the journal’s official website).
